Dyma Criw Cymraeg 2023-2024

St David’s Day 2024 – Dydd Gwyl Dewi Hapus

The choir visited Killay precinct the sing Welsh songs for the community. Back in school, children from Nursery to Year 2 enjoyed Twmpath dancing in the school hall. 

In the afternoon, we held an Eisteddfod in school, where each class sang a Welsh song to the rest of the school. 

CLUSTER EVENTS

In February, the Criw Cymraeg attended a cluster event at Olchfa Comprehensive School. Menter Iaith led the activities and we did a Welsh quizand learned yard games that we can teach the children back in school. 

DYDD MIWSIG CYMRU

To celebrate Welsh music day, we invited ‘Pwdin Reis’ into school to perform a gig to the whole school. We had a great time dancing and singing along to the wonderful songs. Please click here: Pwdin Reis

WELSH WHISPERER 

In December 2023, we welcomed the Welsh Whisperer into school to work with classes to create a song about our wonderful school.

 

SIARTER IAITH TARGETS

In November, we used the money raised on Shwmae Day to invite Fresh Creative into school. They worked with the Criw Cymraeg to create a ‘Croeso’ sign for our school entrance. This was a target of the Siarter Iaith Silver award. 

 

SHWMAE DAY 2023

To celebrate Shwmae Day in October, we held various fundraising activities. The day was a huge success and raised over £400.
