Welcome back! We hope you have had a good summer. We are really looking forward seeing you all.

This is a link to a Topic Web of activities that we hope to cover in the Spring term.

Sensational Safari Topic Web

The children have been very busy completing activities in their Mission station areas in class. The children have a fortnight to complete the activities and they record what they have done in their books or on the J2E using the ipads.

PE Lessons

The children will have 1 PE session a week, on a Wednesday morning. Can you please can they come into school dressed for PE.

Please click the link to access the homework menu for this term.

Spelling Test

Spelling test are on a Friday. Spellling words will be posted on J2E every week. Please access them there. Any issues accessing this please let me know.

The children will bring a spelling practise book home, keep this at home, it does not need to return to school. .

As well as learning them at home, children are given the opportunity in class to go over the words using a multi-sensory approach including writing them in sand and also using Spellosaur on the I-pads.

Reading books need to come in on Mondays and will be returned on Thursdays. This is to allow 72 hours between contact. We will listen to the children read individually as well as guided reading sessions too. We aim to listen to them read as often as possible.

It is really important that you help us by sending in their reading books on their reading day. Can we emphasise the importance of reading to and with your child as often as possible (at least 4 times a week).

Water bottles

Please can each child have their own water bottle. We will not be having cups in class for them to use due to health and hygiene reasons.

Thank you for your support, please don’t hesitate to contact us if you want to discuss anything.
