Other Nursery Information
If possible, we would like all children to wear school uniform. If this is not possible, for the first few weeks, please ensure that your child’s ‘everyday’ clothes are clean and school-appropriate.
You can purchase uniform from
Each week we will be going into ‘Coed Cadno’ (our little woods) to do some outdoor learning activities. Please provide your child with a pair of wellies to be kept in school. These should be clearly named and brought to school in a carrier bag (also clearly named).
Feel Good Friday
P.E will begin on Friday once everyone is in and settled. This will take place in the hall of the main building. Could the children wear joggers/leggings and trainers on this day to ensure freedom of movement.
Every Friday you will have a Newsletter. These will contain information about the activities we have been doing in Nursery that week and any other important dates and information.
Library books will be sent home every Friday to be returned on Monday which will give us time to sanitize them for re-issue. If possible please could you purchase a book bag for your child. Let us know if you would like one.
Snack and drink
We will provide the children with a mid morning fruit snack and drink each morning. Fridays are treat day when we have a biscuit. We ask for a contribution of £6.00 to be handed to a member of the nursery staff in a named envelope.
We would like each child to bring a coat to school with them every day. Ideally Nursery children will spend a fair proportion of the morning in outdoor learning situations and, even if the weather is dry and warm at the start of the day, it can, as you know, change rapidly so children might need this extra protection. Wherever possible coats should be shower-proof.
Please could the children bring a spare set of clothes (to remain in school) in a labelled bag incase of any emergencies.
Please don’t hesitate to ask if you have any further questions. We all want your child’s first experience at school/return to school to be a happy and exciting one and will try to do our utmost to make this happen.
